Barcelona-based edtech company StudiesIn has acquired a prominent network of high-traffic student information websites, a strategic move aimed at solidifying its position as Europe’s leading platform for international students.
The acquisition includes nine long-established portals that have guided millions of prospective students, such as Studying-in-Spain.com, Studying-in-UK.org, and Studying-in-France.org. These websites were previously part of the Inquero.com network and are expected to significantly boost StudiesIn’s visibility and reach across key European study destinations.
StudiesIn offers a comprehensive suite of services for international students — from program discovery and multilingual support to assistance in accessing affordable public universities across Europe.
“With this acquisition, we’re accelerating our mission to become Europe’s top study abroad portal,” said Tom Miessen, CEO and co-founder of StudiesIn. “It enhances our ability to connect students with high-quality educational opportunities and increases the value we provide to both students and institutions.”
The timing of this acquisition is significant, as global student mobility trends shift. Stricter visa and immigration policies in countries like the UK and the US are driving more students to consider continental Europe for higher education.
Besart Bajrami, founder of the acquired network and CEO of NextSEO, said he was proud to pass on a legacy that has helped thousands of students: “This is about more than just information — it’s about empowering students to make informed choices for their future.”
StudiesIn plans to fully integrate the new sites into its platform in the coming months, alongside an expansion of its marketing efforts and the rollout of new student support tools.
The company is also in the process of raising €500,000 to support its growth, with €200,000 already secured through a mix of private investors and crowdfunding on Crowdcube.
Ultimately, StudiesIn aims to support over 1 million international students across Europe annually.
